I write articles for Publift’s blog through State of Digital Publishing (SODP), a content company based in Australia. The articles cover ad networks, header bidding, Core Web Vitals, ad viewability and Q4 revenue planning.
About Publift and its readers
Publift is an ad tech company that manages programmatic advertising for website publishers. Its readers run sites that earn money from ads. They compare ad networks on hard numbers, such as traffic minimums, revenue share, CPMs and payment terms. Each article had to explain technical topics like header bidding, viewability and Core Web Vitals in a way a publisher could act on.
The brief’s two quality checks
Every article had to pass two checks before SODP accepted it.
| Check | Target | Result |
|---|---|---|
| Surfer content score | 70 or higher | Met on every article |
| Originality.ai human score | Pass | 98% to 100% human on every article |
These two checks pull in opposite directions. Chasing a Surfer score pushes a draft toward repeated terms and stock phrases, and AI detectors flag exactly that. So I covered the terms Surfer expected while writing sentences that read like a person wrote them.

How I worked
In the alternatives articles, I compared every platform on the entry threshold, the revenue share and who it suits best. A publisher can see in one table whether they qualify.
The Core Web Vitals and viewability articles go beyond definitions. They show ad-specific fixes, like reserving space for ad slots so the page doesn’t shift and lazy-loading only the ads below the fold.
To meet the Surfer target, I covered each topic fully instead of repeating keywords. That’s how every article kept an Originality.ai score of 98% or higher.
