About MockFlow and its readers
MockFlow makes wireframing, UI design and visual collaboration software for designers, product managers and agencies. Those same people read its blog, so every article had to hold up for readers who do this work every day.
MockFlow hired me because of the UI and UX articles I’d written for Octet Design Studio, a design agency.

How I worked
Each brief set the topic and the angle. My time at Octet meant I already knew the vocabulary, like wireframes, heuristics, design systems and usability testing, so I went straight to research and writing.
Five of the 12 articles cover wireframing and team workflow, the work MockFlow’s product is built for. The rest go wider, into UX careers, research methods and UI principles. The UX laws article, for example, explains seven named principles in plain terms. These are Hick’s Law, Fitts’s Law, Jakob’s Law, Miller’s Law, Tesler’s Law, the Peak-End Rule and the Zeigarnik Effect.
MockFlow publishes under its brand name and keeps updating older posts. Some of the live versions now have newer titles and sections that the MockFlow team added later.
